Warranties
The Butler Warranty Program consists of two parts:
- A basic Buildings Division Warranty with material and workmanship provisions applied to all Butler furnished components and systems.
- A Roof Weathertightness Endorsement for premium roof products subject to certain qualifying procedures and a schedule of charges.
Building Division Warranty
The standard Butler ManufacturingTM Warranty covers all materials supplied by Butler Manufacturing for a period of three years, or an optional five years. Exceptions are for Butler-Cote® 500 finish system on painted galvanized panels, which are warranted for 25 years, and certain other components, as listed in the warranty document, for 2, 3, or 5 years. Warranty Provisions
- All Butler-Furnished Components
- This is the basic Buildings Division Warranty with 3-year materials and workmanship provisions applied to all Butler-furnished components. Included in the 3-year materials and workmanship provisions is the following panel material:
- Aluminum/zinc alloy coated steel
- Painted Roof and Wall Materials
- Roof and wall panels coated with the Butler-Cote finish system standard colors are warranted for 25 years on film integrity, chalk, fade, and gloss retention.
- Roof and wall panels made of acrylic-coated Galvalume sheet steel will not rupture, structurally fail, or suffer perforation due to normal atmospheric corrosion for a period of 25 years.

Buildings Division Weathertightness Endorsement
A Weathertightness Endorsement is subject to acceptance by Butler Manufacturing and payment of additional charges. Limitations of liability apply. A Weathertightness Endorsement for the SunLite Strip® daylighting system metal curb (plastic domes excluded) covers 15 years. The maximum liability for these accessories is included in the roof panel limits, and the cost is included in the roof panel endorsement charges.
- Weathertightness Endorsements will only be available for the following roof products and minimum roof slopes:

- No warranty shall be executed on MR-24 and Butlerib II roof systems unless installed with at least 2″ of blanket insulation.
