The first annual Picture Perfect Photo Contest winners for Butler Builders have been announced. Fifty-seven projects were submitted from around North America to compete for prizes in six different categories. Butler Builders build for a variety of end uses like retail, indoor sports, aviation, manufacturing, and warehousing. Steel building systems from Butler are ideal for any low-rise commercial project. Winners of the contest are listed below.
Best Overall: Kent Design Build
Kent Design Build completed this 34,000 sq. ft. retail furniture store in Lafayette, LA, in May 2021. The American Factory Direct Furniture store features an open ceiling plan with painted structurals for a dramatic furniture gallery of high-end case goods and upholstery.
Best Use Of Butler Product: Clear Span Structures
The award went to Clear Span Structures for the Harmsco Filtration project in Riviera Beach, FL. This 20,000 sq. ft. reroof project on a 30-year-old structure features a solar array with 912 panels. The project featured a Butler Manufacturing™ metal-over-metal retrofit roof system topped with the MR-24® Roof System.
Best Drone Video: Grassmere Construction
This winner came from north of the border in Tillsonburg, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada. The video highlighted a 6,300 sq. ft. project in that included a high-profile metal-over-metal reroof and a slope build-up by Grassmere Construction. The Highland Patrol Yard project added much-needed thermal efficiency with a Cool Solar White MR-24 roof.
Oldest MR-24 Roof: The Sheridan Corporation
Built in 1969 by The Sheridan Corporation, Peavey Manufacturing in Eddington, ME, is the first building in Maine with a painted MR-24 Roof. The 35,000 sq. ft. roof is still functioning today after more than 50 years of service.
Best Classic Building: C2C Construction
The Classic honor goes to a Classic Tier 1 project by C2C Construction in Utica, NY. The client, MGS Group, was impressed by the quality of the construction and the thermal efficiency achieved.
Best Project By A New Builder: Bode Equipment
The winner for this category was Bode Equipment a Londonderry, NH, based Builder, for the Marlborough Airport project. This 6,000 sq. ft. building was built for a developer who wanted a versatile structure that could fit a variety of end-uses.
